Royals Dog Grooming

Dear loyal customers, 



We're making some changes behind the scenes to improve the process of our service to continue to offer you great value. 



We're also thrilled to welcome a fresh face to the team and we’re excited to introduce some tail-wagging deals and promotions coming very soon!



If you have opted in, you will receive marketing emails to keep you updated with anything new and you can also check our social media or our newsletter via our website, (which we’re currently updating).



But for now…please read on to see our important up-coming changes and new policies.




1.) Payment Methods

As from March 1st, we'll be updating our payment methods. 

To help us keep our costs down and continue offering you the best possible service, we will be accepting payments by cash or bank transfer only upon collecting your dog.

We understand that this change may require a slight adjustment, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We believe this shift will allow us to maintain competitive pricing and continue providing our high-quality service. 



2.) Cancellation Policy


We want to remind you of our Cancellation and No-Show Policy. This policy helps us ensure that we can continue to offer appointments to everyone in our community fairly.


Here's a quick overview:

  • Rescheduling or Cancelling: We kindly request 48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.


  • Late Cancellations:

    • Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before your appointment will be subject to a charge of 50% of the service fee.

    • Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will be subject to a charge of 100% of the service fee.


  • No-Shows: No-shows will also be charged 100% of the service fee.


  • Future Bookings: Please note that any future scheduled appointments will be cancelled, and we won't be able to offer any of our services until any outstanding cancellation fees are paid.


  • Flexibility: We understand that things can change. If we're able to fill your appointment slot with another client, we'll happily waive the cancellation fee. However, this isn't always possible, which is why advance notice is so important.


  • Pick-Up Service: If you find yourself unable to make your appointment, our Pick-Up service may be an alternative option, depending on Sarah's availability (Mon-Fri). Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss this possibility. Our Pick-Up Service is for locals to Houghton Regis for small dogs only. 


  • Dog’s Wellness: Your dog's health and comfort are our top priorities. If you need to cancel your appointment due to illness, infection, or a recent operation, we may ask you to speak with your vet before rescheduling. This allows us to work together to develop a grooming plan that's appropriate and safe for your dog's current condition. Veterinary records or notes can be helpful in this process and may be required upon booking your next appointment.


We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we'll always do our best to work with you. However, consistent adherence to our cancellation policy is essential for us to maintain our business and continue providing services to all our clients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.



3.) Price Increase, Loyalty Points and VIPs


Price Increase

Just a heads-up that from April 1st, we'll be making a small price adjustment to some of our services, due to the rising operational costs we're facing.

We know everyone's feeling the pinch with the cost of living going up, so we're committed to keeping our prices fair and competitive with other salons of our size.


Loyalty Cards

Due to the change in our staff operations, we made the difficult decision in scrapping Loyalty Cards, but fear not we will be introducing more offers to all customers throughout the year. 

We will still give Loyalty Points and grant Discounts to existing cards until the end of 2025 so please remember your cards! We cannot owe any points! 


VIP

Did you know you can make your dog's grooming more affordable by joining our VIP membership? You can spread the cost into monthly payments, lock in your current prices, and get 15% off every 6th groom, plus lots more!

4.) Sarah Steps Back


We wanted to let you know that Sarah will be stepping back from regular grooming appointments with immediate effect to dedicate her time to managing Royals Dog Grooming and family life. She may occasionally groom to cover staff absences, but will no longer be taking individual bookings. This will also allow her to dedicate more time to supporting our fantastic Apprentice, Sophie, who is making incredible progress! Watch this space! You’ll still see Sarah in the salon most days, and we're excited for this next chapter.


For clients who usually see Sarah, we want to reassure you that your dog will be in excellent hands with one of our other skilled groomers. We'll carefully match your dog with the groomer best suited to their needs, and your appointment will remain as scheduled. We're committed to maintaining the same high standard of grooming you've come to expect. We'll be in touch if any adjustments to your appointment are needed. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.




5.) Booking with Jodie and Sinead


You can now book appointments with Jodie online! We've added her schedule back to our system to make booking even more convenient for you. While Jodie is renting table space at Royals Dog Grooming and managing her own diary, you can now easily find and book her services with us online. You can contact us to arrange a booking. As before, you will receive confirmation email from Royals Dog Grooming when booking with Jodie. Payments will still be made directly to Jodie via cash or bank transfer and no deposit is required. Loyalty Points and Discounts can be collected and used with any staff member up until 2025. Thank you for your patience whilst we adjust to our new changes. 


All the above applies to both Sinead and Emily from 1st March. 




6.) Welcoming Emily


We're delighted to welcome Emily to the Royals Dog Grooming team! With 8 years of professional grooming experience, including time at Pets at Home and independent salons, as well as experience as an Animal Care Assistant at a veterinary practice, Emily brings a wealth of expertise. She'll be renting a table at Royals, and payments for her services can be made directly to her via cash or bank transfer. Emily will be available starting March 10th, and you can now book her services online!




7.) We’re opening 7 days a week!


We've listened to your feedback, and we're thrilled to announce we're expanding our services back to 7 days a week! To make this possible, we've made the difficult decision to discontinue our late evening appointments.


Grooming for 10+ hours a day can be physically demanding, so we've decided to prioritise our team's well-being by removing late appointments and opening on Sundays instead.


Sunday appointments will be limited and considered a premium service for +£10.00 on grooming services. 


With changing our opening times, this may mean there will be changes to our diary whilst we introduce a new rota to our staff. Should we need to make any adjustments we will contact you within the next week. 


We appreciate your understanding and look forward to offering you more flexibility with our new schedule.


Our new opening hours will take affect from 1st April.


Monday - Saturday 09:00 - 17:00 

Sunday 10:00 - 14:00 


Bank Holidays will differ 




8.) Self Service Sunday


And finally, we’re happy to announce our Sunday Special Offer as from 1st April.  


Come and bath your dog yourself and use our Self Service Baths, any size dog for £10.50 for 30 minutes! You can schedule extra bathing time (15m) for £5.00


All Self-Service appointments must be booked in. 


What’s included: 

  • One bottle of professional natural Vegan Shampoo suitable to your dogs coat and skin. (Suitable for dogs of all ages)

  • Towel

  • Blow Dryer

  • Brushes 

  • Aprons and Ear Defenders for yourself

  • Advise from our professional team


Add on extras:

  • Extra Shampoo Bottle £2.50

  • Cologne Spritz £1.00

  • Time (15mins) £5.00

  • Nail Clipping £12.00
